DoorDash, a US-based global food delivery platform, has expanded its operations in India with the inauguration of its first India talent hub in Hyderabad. The centre is expected to create more than 3,000 jobs over the next two years, adding to the company’s existing technology presence in the country.
DoorDash operates across more than 40 countries and reported over $100 billion in Marketplace Gross Order Value (GOV) in 2025. The company serves more than 56 million monthly active consumers across its markets.
Hyderabad Talent Hub
The Hyderabad hub will initially accommodate 500 professionals, with plans to scale the workforce to more than 3,000 employees over the next two years. Its teams will handle customer support, Customer Experience & Integrity (CXI), and general and administrative functions, supporting DoorDash’s global operations.
Hyderabad will be one of DoorDash’s three owned Customer Experience and Integrity hubs globally, alongside Tempe, Arizona, and Mexico City. The facility is intended to support services across markets representing a combined population of more than one billion people.
In a LinkedIn post announcing the inauguration, Telangana IT Minister Sridhar Babu Duddilla described the hub as an addition to Hyderabad’s digital commerce ecosystem, stating: “This is the kind of global work we want Hyderabad to attract. Work that is not only delivered from Hyderabad, but built here, operated here and scaled from here to the world.”
DoorDash’s Existing Presence in India
Before establishing the Hyderabad hub, DoorDash had a technology office in Pune, focused on software, data and analytics. The Pune operations came through the company’s 2021 acquisition of Chowbotics, a robotics startup, which brought those capabilities into DoorDash.
The Hyderabad facility marks the company’s second technology office in India and expands its local operations beyond technology into customer experience and business support. It also adds to DoorDash’s global network of owned customer experience and integrity hubs.
The expansion reflects India’s broader role in supporting global technology and business operations, with Hyderabad adding a significant customer-facing and operational hub to DoorDash’s existing India footprint.
Hyderabad’s Expanding GCC Landscape
Hyderabad has also seen a series of recent GCC and capability-centre developments across technology and life sciences. Billtrust inaugurated a 40,000 sq. ft. GCC earlier this month, backed by a ₹450 crore investment commitment over three years, with plans to build capabilities across engineering, AI and operations.
Veramed opened a new Hyderabad office to expand its clinical data management, biostatistics and statistical programming teams, complementing its Bengaluru headquarters.
Syneos Health inaugurated a 137,000 sq. ft. office in Hyderabad, bringing together clinical, commercial, AI and engineering capabilities, including its Technology Capability Center. Together, these developments highlight the range of global business, technology, and life sciences operations being established and expanded in the city.
