Omnicom Global Solutions (OGS), Omnicom’s integrated solutions engine, has expanded its presence in Coimbatore with the inauguration of a new office. The development adds to Omnicom’s established operations in India, where it has built Global Solutions Centres of Excellence to support its agencies and clients worldwide.
In May 2024, Omnicom announced the expansion of its Global Solutions Centres of Excellence in India, opening new campuses in Bengaluru, Chennai and Gurugram, followed by Hyderabad in January 2025. These centres brought together more than 5,500 professionals, supporting capabilities across media, technology, digital commerce, marketing science, market research, creative services and business support.
OGS currently operates across Chennai and Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, with a workforce of more than 1,000 professionals across the state. Its capabilities span technology, data, media, creative and business support services, serving Omnicom’s global agencies and clients.
Expanding Coimbatore’s Role
The new Coimbatore office has seating capacity for up to 200 professionals, more than doubling the capacity of OGS’s previous facility in the city. It includes dedicated training infrastructure and houses OGS India’s Graduate Trainee Incubation Centre. Coimbatore also serves as OGS India’s Graduate Trainee hub, supporting talent development within the organisation.
The expansion comes amid further GCC-related developments in Tamil Nadu. Starbucks has signed an MoU with the state government to establish its first corporate technology hub in India in Chennai, with approximately 800 technology roles expected. Walgreens has also signed an MoU to establish its first Global Capability Centre in Tamil Nadu, at DLF Downtown in Chennai, with more than 250 jobs expected in its first year.
These developments add to Tamil Nadu’s growing base of global technology, business services and talent operations, with OGS’s new Coimbatore office expanding its existing footprint in the state.
