Daybreak Dialogues Hyderabad: Rethinking How GCCs Scale

When growth starts adding complexity, what should a GCC change first?

Following the inaugural edition in Bengaluru in July 2026, Daybreak Dialogues travelled to Hyderabad on 7 August 2026, bringing together a curated group of GCC leaders for another intimate, peer-to-peer conversation.

Hosted by GCC Pulse in partnership with Gloplax, with Savills India as the ‘Real Estate & GCC Location Advisory Partner’, the Hyderabad edition explored a question that is increasingly relevant as GCCs mature:

How do you scale without losing agility?

Held under the ‘Chatham House Rule’, the conversation was candid, practical, and deliberately free of attribution. Four broad themes shaped the discussion.

Scaling Growth Without Added Complexity

Growth doesn’t necessarily have to mean adding layers. Leaders reflected on simplifying complexity, making the right capability choices early, and ensuring that growth milestones are ultimately tied to business value.

The discussion also challenged the traditional “factory” approach to GCCs, with greater emphasis on building differentiated capabilities, exporting innovation, and creating value for the global enterprise.

The Next Operating Model for GCCs

The conversation moved towards how GCC operating models are evolving. From virtual centres of the past to today’s technology and transformation hubs, the question is no longer simply how many people a GCC employs, but what it owns, builds and exports.

Leaders also examined vendor models, ownership and decision-making, including whether organisations sometimes retain complexity by outsourcing capabilities while keeping the associated management overhead.

Talent Development for Sustainable Scale

People remained central to the conversation. Role clarity, meaningful learning experiences, culture and career opportunities emerged as important elements of sustainable growth.

A recurring thought was that while brands may attract talent, the quality of the experience and the opportunity to learn and grow are what keep people engaged.

From Capacity Centers to Growth Engines

The final discussion explored what it takes for GCCs to move beyond execution and become genuine enterprise partners. Leadership, collaboration, workplace strategy and the design of physical spaces all formed part of the conversation.

One particularly interesting thread was the growing intersection between real estate, employee experience and business strategy. Flexible spaces, collaboration environments, incubation areas and changing workforce patterns are increasingly influencing how GCCs operate and build capability.

The Hyderabad edition reinforced something we also experienced in Bengaluru: the value of creating a setting where leaders can step away from the usual event format and have a more open exchange with peers.

There were no simple answers—just candid experiences, different perspectives, and questions worth continuing to ask.
