US-based biopharma company Gilead Sciences has inaugurated its Gilead Capabilities Center India in Bengaluru, marking a new chapter in the company’s India operations and its investment in future capabilities.
The centre will bring more technology and digital expertise in-house, with an initial focus on areas including cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI). The development also reflects Gilead’s focus on bringing together talent, technology and diverse perspectives to support its broader organisational goals.
Building Capabilities for the Future
Announcing the inauguration on LinkedIn, Andrew Dickinson highlighted the centre’s role in strengthening Gilead’s internal technology capabilities.
“GCC India is an investment in Gilead’s future, bringing more technology and digital expertise inside the company, beginning in areas including cybersecurity and AI. But ultimately, this is about people and growth. It’s about bringing together colleagues with different experiences and perspectives as one Gilead team, working toward a shared purpose and helping us better serve patients.. …”
Dickinson also acknowledged the welcome extended by the Bengaluru team, noting the talent, ideas and enthusiasm of the centre’s new colleagues.
Vineet Dwivedi, also sharing the milestone on LinkedIn, emphasised the importance of building capabilities beyond establishing a new location.
