GCC Foundry Launches Fellowship to Build India’s Next Generation of GCC Leaders

Six-month programme brings together experienced professionals and seasoned GCC leaders to prepare for broader enterprise mandates

GCC Foundry, founded by former Goldman Sachs Managing Director Sandeep Dhar, has launched its flagship Fellowship in AI-Native Enterprise Leadership for experienced professionals preparing to move from functional leadership to broader enterprise mandates.

The six-month programme will admit 60 professionals with 10–20 years of experience and has been shaped by 80+ seasoned GCC leaders. The Fellowship focuses on three core areas — GCC Leadership, AI Fluency and Executive Presence — with participants working on practical challenges including investment cases, build-versus-buy decisions, capability design and mandate pitches.

A key feature of the programme is its six-member leadership pod model, with each pod guided by a senior GCC practitioner who reviews participants’ work every week. The learning experience also includes practitioner-led case studies, transformation blueprints, no-code AI Studio Labs and structured peer learning.

The launch comes as India’s GCC sector continues to expand in both scale and strategic importance. The country now has 2,117 GCCs across 3,728 units, employing approximately 2.36 million professionals, with the ecosystem growing 32% since FY2021. GCC Foundry estimates that India has around 6,500 GCC leadership seats today, a number expected to exceed 30,000 by 2030, while nearly 70% of current leadership demand does not have ready talent supply.

In times when India’s GCC opportunity is moving from execution to enterprise ownership, GCC Foundry will equip the next generation of leaders to build capabilities, influence global decisions and own business outcomes from India.

Dhar, Co-founder and Dean at GCC Foundry, brings three decades of experience across the GCC ecosystem, including senior leadership roles at Citibank, Tesco HSC and Goldman Sachs, as well as experience building GCC practices at Wipro and Capgemini. His experience in building leadership academies within organisations has also helped shape GCC Foundry’s practitioner-led learning model.
