Advanced Energy Opens Global Capability Centre in Pune

New centre expands the company’s global shared-services and development capabilities from India

Advanced Energy, a global provider of advanced power and control technologies, has officially opened its new Global Capability Centre in Pune, India, expanding its global capabilities and strengthening collaboration across its international operations. The company develops power conversion and control technologies for a range of industries and operates across a global network of locations.

The new Pune centre will serve as a shared-services hub supporting global development roles across Advanced Energy. The centre is intended to strengthen collaboration across regions and time zones, enabling teams in India to work closely with colleagues across the company’s global operations.

The inauguration brought together Advanced Energy leaders and employees from across India. The event included leadership remarks, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and a cake-cutting celebration, marking the opening of the new centre.

The Pune GCC adds a new layer to Advanced Energy’s existing capabilities in India, with the company positioning the centre as part of its continued global growth and expansion of capabilities.

Advanced Energy’s Existing Presence in India

Advanced Energy already has an established presence in Pune. The company’s global locations list includes a Pune office in Model Colony supporting Sales, Support and IT.

The new GCC therefore represents an expansion of an existing India footprint rather than the company’s entry into the country. The addition of shared-services and global development roles broadens the range of activities being supported from Pune.

Maharashtra’s Expanding GCC Landscape

The development comes amid a series of recent GCC launches and expansions across Maharashtra. Fuel Cycle opened a GCC in Navi Mumbai in September 2026, with an initial planned capacity of 50 and a focus on engineering, AI and product development.

In Pune, Hexadex launched a GCC bringing together finance and engineering capabilities, alongside new manufacturing and engineering test capabilities at its India operation. The development builds on the company’s India presence, which began in 2019 and has grown to more than 200 people.

Meanwhile, The Magnum Ice Cream Company (TMICC) inaugurated a 67,000 sq. ft. GCC in Pune, following an MoU with the Government of Maharashtra signed in April 2025. The centre supports global operations across finance, procurement, supply chain, marketing and Master Data, alongside AI, automation and analytics.

Together, these developments show continued activity across Maharashtra’s GCC ecosystem, spanning technology, engineering, consumer businesses, AI and global business services.
