US-based enterprise cloud applications firm Workday Inc. is set to establish its first Global Capability Center (GCC) in India, choosing Chennai as the location. The announcement was made by Tamil Nadu Industries Minister T.R.B. Rajaa, highlighting the state's growing appeal as a global tech hub. The upcoming GCC will support Workday’s operations across finance, HR, and enterprise planning, and is expected to generate high-value employment opportunities in the region.
