The Standard Opens Global Capability Centre in Bengaluru, India

The Standard, a US-based provider of insurance, retirement and investment products, has inaugurated its new Global Capability Centre at Embassy Tech Village in Bengaluru. The facility was opened by Karnataka's Electronics, IT and Biotechnology Minister Shri Priyank Kharge, marking the next phase of expansion following The Standard India's launch in November 2025. The centre will host in-house engineering teams across AI engineering, cloud platform development, data and analytics, digital transformation and insurance operations supporting the transition from vendor-led delivery to internal capability building. Country Head Mohua Sengupta described it as an integrated hub combining enterprise scale with startup agility, advancing the company's long-term innovation and transformation priorities.
