Global healthcare tech leader Medtronic plc has launched a dedicated Diabetes Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Pune, India pledging an investment of $50 million over the next five years. The state-of-the-art centre will build in-house customer care capabilities and advanced support services, including software development, analytics, patient financial services, and operations. It aims to create 300+ jobs in year one, scaling to approximately 600 roles over four years and doubling its workforce.
This strategic move underscores India’s emerging position as a critical innovation and delivery hub in global healthcare technology—and solidifies Pune’s role in the GCC ecosystem.
