A report by Smartworks and UnearthIQ finds that India’s flex workspace market is projected to reach $9–10 billion by 2028, driven by the rapid expansion of Global Capability Centers (GCCs). The study estimates that GCCs will generate 160–200 million sq. ft. of office demand by 2030. Flexible workspaces are expected to capture nearly half of this demand as enterprises shift toward asset-light and Opex-led models.. The report also notes that India’s 1,850+ GCCs currently employ around 2.2 million professionals and are adding 80,000–120,000 seats annually, creating significant opportunities for flex space operators.
