Deloitte plans to hire 50,000 employees in India, expanding its existing workforce of around 140,000, according to Romal Shetty, CEO of Deloitte South Asia. Speaking at TiEcon Mangaluru 2026 on January 17, Shetty said India remains central to Deloitte’s global operations and confirmed that Mangaluru is being evaluated as a potential future expansion location. He also noted that India currently accounts for nearly one-fourth of Deloitte’s global workforce.
