TCS Emerges as Front-Runner for Best Buy’s India GCC

TCS has pulled ahead in the final leg of the race to take over the India GCC operations of Best Buy, a US-based consumer electronics retailer, according to News reports.

Best Buy’s Bengaluru GCC has around 600 employees. The five-year deal, covering GCC operations and broader technology services across data, analytics and AI, is estimated to be worth around ₹2,000 crore.

The mandate is understood to have been awarded based on competitive pricing, aggressive service-level agreements and productivity benefits. Wipro was also part of the initial shortlist.

The deal would deepen TCS’s longstanding relationship with Best Buy as the retailer shifts more of its technology estate towards AI-enabled operations.
