Wells Fargo has decided to shut down its Global Capability Center (GCC) in Chennai as part of a strategic consolidation of its India operations. Employees have been offered the option to relocate to the bank’s other major centers in Bengaluru or Hyderabad. The move reflects the company’s shift towards optimizing its geographic footprint within India while continuing to invest in its technology and operations hubs.
