The “Deepening Techno-Functional Excellence: How U.S. GCCs Are Evolving from Enablement to Innovation” panel at Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025 spotlighted a powerful shift: U.S. GCCs in India are no longer just operational enablers—they are global innovation drivers, shaping enterprise transformation at scale.
India at the Center of the Global Value Chain
One of the session’s strongest themes was the growing global centrality of India-based teams. Leading GCCs today support dozens of international business sites, anchoring R&D, engineering, capital projects, and next-generation platforms from India. AI-led evolution was a constant thread, with discussions highlighting “human-in-the-loop” decision frameworks, where AI amplifies rather than replaces human judgment.
Building Teams that Experiment, Iterate, and Lead
Another core takeaway was the rise of India as a culture of calculated risk-taking. Leaders emphasized that GCCs must cultivate environments where teams can experiment boldly. This shift—supported by global leadership—has enabled India centers to take on more advanced outcomes, product lines, and enterprise transformation initiatives. Global executives increasingly recognize the energy, agility, and problem-solving velocity that Indian teams bring.
From Products to Platforms: The Next Leap for GCCs
The conversation also highlighted the transformation from product-focused organizations to platform-first enterprises. With large-scale SaaS-driven architectures, hundreds of agile squads, and transaction systems operating at massive volumes, GCCs are now designing foundational components for the global business. Emerging domains such as tokenization, advanced automation, and AI-led compliance are becoming core focus areas.
Academia, Startups & Patents: A New Innovation Flywheel
Collaboration with academia and startups is accelerating this journey. Several GCCs now partner deeply with universities, incubate early-stage ventures, and generate patents and proprietary research from India. This ecosystem-first approach is strengthening domain expertise, a critical differentiator GCCs must build to transition from execution to strategic influence.
Across sectors—from energy and healthcare to BFSI and semiconductors—the message from BTS 2025 was unmistakable: U.S. GCCs in India are stepping into a new era of leadership, innovation, and enterprise ownership.
