Augury Opens Bengaluru Engineering Hub to Accelerate Industrial AI

New centre to strengthen India-based R&D and advance AI agents for manufacturing operations

Augury, an Industrial AI unicorn and leader in AI solutions for manufacturing, today announced the expansion of its presence in India with a new engineering hub in Bengaluru, strengthening the company’s investment in technical talent and applied AI capabilities. The hub follows the launch of the Industrial AI Workforce in May, role-based AI agents engineered for reliability, maintenance and operations teams to run manufacturing plants more reliably and efficiently. The new location expands Augury’s global footprint, complementing its existing hubs in the United States and Israel and strengthening India’s role in the company’s global engineering and technology organization.

As the Bengaluru hub scales, Augury is making significant investments in its India-based R&D capabilities, further strengthening India’s role within the company’s global engineering and technology organization. The expansion builds on the company’s $75 million funding round in 2025, which supports product development and global expansion. The new hub will focus on advancing agentic capabilities within the Industrial AI Workforce. Augury has partnered with SecondHQ, a new-age GCC company, to establish the center in Bengaluru.

“India is an important part of Augury’s long-term investment in engineering and Industrial AI,” said Anoop Mohan, Chief Product and Technology Officer of Augury. “We’re building a team that combines deep technical expertise with the industrial context needed to turn AI into practical outcomes on the factory floor. Expanding our presence in Bengaluru gives us access to exceptional talent while strengthening our ability to innovate and serve manufacturers around the world.”

Backed by over 15 years of machine monitoring, Augury’s Industrial AI platform unites machine data, operational context, and tribal knowledge into a human-readable industrial context graph that empowers AI agents to take grounded, trusted action on the plant floor. The company works with more than 800 plants across six continents, including organizations in food and beverage, consumer packaged goods and other asset-intensive industries.

“In Industrial AI, an agent is only as good as an operator’s willingness to trust it on the shop floor, and that trust is built by capturing the unwritten knowledge of experienced plant teams,” said Ganesh Iyer, Senior Director of Engineering and India Site Leader at Augury. “Our Bengaluru site is built on that exact discipline. We are bringing together exceptional engineering talent and deep industrial domain experts to build agents, operators can rely on every day.”

“Rockwell Automation and Augury are strategic technology partners, and we welcome Augury’s decision to establish its engineering centre in Bengaluru. The expansion brings our teams in India closer together and creates new opportunities for collaboration as we connect industrial AI insights with maintenance execution. Together, we are helping manufacturers improve asset reliability, operational performance, and the speed at which they can turn insights into action,” said Dilip Sawhney, Managing Director, Rockwell Automation India.”

Sanjeev Gupta, CEO, Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) said, “Bengaluru has established itself as one of the world’s leading destinations for engineering and R&D, with the talent and technology ecosystem required to support global innovation. Augury’s decision to expand its engineering presence here reinforces Bengaluru’s growing role in building advanced technology for global markets. We congratulate Augury and SecondHQ on this milestone and we look forward to supporting their global growth from Bengaluru.”

Abhilash Raghavan, CEO, SecondHQ, said, “Augury’s Bengaluru center is a testament to how India is evolving from a talent destination into a strategic hub for engineering, AI and innovation. With Industrial AI reshaping how manufacturers operate, Augury has a significant opportunity to build global capabilities from India.”

Following the launch of the Industrial AI Workforce, the expansion in India marks another step in Augury’s continued investment in the people and technology required to bring AI into the physical world, where successful deployment depends not only on powerful models but also on reliable data, industrial context and trust.
