Hexaware Bets Big on GCC 2.0 with SMC Squared Acquisition

Hexaware Technologies has acquired SMC Squared, a specialist in building and managing Global Capability Centers (GCCs), in a strategic move to elevate its newly launched GCC 2.01 service line. The combined capabilities will offer global enterprises AI-powered, platform-led, and human-plus-digital agent-driven GCC models. SMC Squared’s deep expertise in build-optimize-transfer and managed services models will complement Hexaware’s digital transformation strengths, creating a unified GCC services stack for advisory, setup, operations, and optimization. The acquisition is expected to accelerate Hexaware’s growth in the GCC space across key industries and geographies including LATAM, UK, and India.
